Therapeutical action:
Laxative. Bisacodyl increases colon’s motility and secretion of water, electrolytes and proteins. Casanthranol is a bowel stimulant through a direct effect on smooth muscles.

Indications:
Indications:
Relief from occasional constipation and irregular intestinal transit. Bowel preparation before surgery or radiographic or endoscopic tests.
Contraindications: Do not administer in acute painful affections in the abdomen. Appendicitis. Digestive bleeding. Severe cardiac congestive failure. Severe hypertension. Intestinal obstruction. Allergy to its components.

Mean isolated dose: 2 entire tablets, without grinding or chewing them. In persistent constipation dose may be increased up to 3 or more tablets per day. It should be taken with an empty stomach with a full glass of water. It is recommended not to administer this product together with antacids, antihistamines such as cimetidine or milk (it may cause gastric irritation).
Children under 6 years old: Although use of laxatives is not recommended in children, when expressly indicated and following an accurate diagnosis, doses shall not be of more than 2 tablets per days.
